Internal Investigations and Grand Jury Defense

We advise and conduct internal investigations on behalf of businesses and corporations in both civil and criminal matters. We have experience conducting investigations for clients such as pharmaceutical companies, multi-national government defense contractors, and for one of the largest insurance carriers in the country.

We also specialize in the representation of executives and witnesses in connection with internal investigation matters. We represent individuals and entities that receive subpoenas in criminal and civil grand jury matters and witnesses called to testify before these investigative bodies.

Based on our extensive experience and familiarity with the courts, we also handle a wide array of complex civil litigation on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. Because we have experience in business ownership and development, we can assist clients in all facets of business ownership including developing concepts, business purchasing, permitting, alcohol licensing, administrative hearings, neighborhood relations, and ownership and transfer issues. We represent U.S. citizens who are alleged to have committed criminal offenses abroad, as well as foreign citizens alleged to have committed offenses in the United States. We are experienced in international criminal defense and investigations, international extradition matters and cross-border discovery litigation.

In addition, we specialize in representing clients in Asia, specifically, Japan. Edwin attended college in Tokyo at Sophia University and maintains strong relationships and ties in that country as well as a command of the language. We have represented clients from all over the Pacific Rim, including Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea and Hong Kong.
